Student Housing Information
Guidelines for Listing:
The Student Services staff maintains a student housing list that is distributed throughout the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Its purpose is to provide advanced housing information to FAA employees assigned to training at the FAA Academy. This listing contains the names, addresses. and phone numbers of available apartments and hotels who are familiar with the needs to FAA employees in training.
Additional apartments and hotels are added to the student housing list only after it has been determined that the FAA has a defined need and the facility meets the following criteria:

a. Maintain a rate which is within appropriate per diem rates.
b. Provide adequate security to protect the resident and their property.
c. Provide good housekeeping and maintenance.
d. Establish pro-rated rates for long term residents.
e. Refund all prepaid rents and/or deposits if the student of visitor completes training prior to the scheduled date.
f. Refund deposits within 30 days or less.
g. Provide furniture, dishes, cooking utensils, linens, and color television at a minimum.
h. Establish a daily rate.
i. Maintain compliance with the Fair Housing Act and ADA regulations.
Removal of a facility from the student housing list will occur.

a. If the facility does not comply with stated criteria.
b. If the facility fails to resolve justifiable complaints.
c. If the facility fails to obtain a satisfactory rating on inspection and reinspection.
d. If the facility fails to comply with established security guidelines.
e. If it is in the best interest of the FAA.
