The FAA Academy received accreditation from the North Central Association (NCA) of Colleges and Schools on March 19, 1991. Each year since, the Academy has been found to meet or exceed NCA's rigorous accreditation standards. The Academy has the honor of being the first Federal non-military training organization accredited by NCA.

As a result of accreditation, colleges and universities have been more receptive to granting college credits for FAA training. Additionally, the Academy has been able to receive educational discounts for certain hardware/software purchases as a result of our accreditation status.
