DESCRIPTION This is an eight-day course that will provide participants with a working knowledge of airport certification procedures (including marking, lighting, guidance signs, ARFF, fuel handling safety, etc.), and airport inspection procedures to be able to complete an airport inspection in accordance with FAA Part 139 or ICAO Annex 14 regulations. We will review the requirements of Part 139 and ICAO Annex 14 and ICAO Doc 9774 (the ICAO certification requirements). Some of the classroom subjects that will be covered are the issuance of airport certificates, the review of airport certification manuals and related plans, airport inspection procedures to assure compliance with Part 139 and/or ICAO Annex 14, the identification of violations of Part 139 and/or Annex 14 regulations, and the preparation of administrative enforcement actions.
