DESCRIPTION

In this 17-day course participants are trained in principles of adult learning, basic instructional methods, strategies, and techniques. Participants are introduced to new instructional technology. The course includes lesson planning, training aid design, selection and usage, achievement testing, and design and use. Participants classroom presentations are included for practical application of knowledge and skills learned.

OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion of the course, participants will be able to:
  • Plan and organize classroom presentations.
  • Prepare lesson objectives, end of lesson tests, training aids, interactive items, and lesson plans.
  • Conduct classroom presentations.
  • Use effective communication skills and instructional techniques.
  • Using effective demonstration/perfor-mance techniques, conduct laboratory/workshop presentations.
  • Develop, administer, and critique writ-ten performance evaluations.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Those in staff or management positions who will develop and conduct technical training. This course has been tailored to meet international needs. All enrollment spaces are reserved for international participants.
