DESCRIPTION
This 3 1/2-day course defines the suspected
unapproved parts policy of the
agency. Included are procedures to identify
suspected unapproved parts and
investigative techniques that satisfy safety
and enforcement responsibilities.
OBJECTIVES
- Familiarize Inspectors with program
vision, objectives and importance.
- Provide an understanding of regulatory
and statutory responsibilities for industry
and FAA as they relate to the manufacture
and maintenance of aircraft.
- Provide guidance for the investigation
of unapproved parts allegations.
- Present methods for the removal of
unapproved parts from the aviation system.
- Demonstrate the benefit of teamwork
and the need for clarity and conciseness
in reporting.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Those involved in investigating and/or
regulating suspected unapproved parts.
