AIR Indoctrination Basics Course 27936

DESCRIPTION

This 25 - 30 hour web-based course is intended to provide the international participant with a high level overview of type, production and airworthiness certification of aircraft, aircraft engines, propellers and parts. The on-line course also provides information about the Aircraft Certification Service (AIR) and how this organization provides oversight for type, production and airworthiness certification. AIR is an FAA organization.

OBJECTIVE

This course is intended to provide an overview of what Aircraft Certification Service does. The course material occasionally covers why Aircraft Certification Service follows certain procedures. It provides the basics of design, production, airworthiness certification including Parts Manufacturer Approvals (PMA) and Technical Standard Order Authorizations (TSOA).

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This course is recommended for all aircraft certification personnel. Newly hired technical specialists (engineers, flight test pilots and aviation safety inspectors that work in manufacturing)

Experienced technical personnel

All other personnel that require a knowledge of type/design, production and airworthiness certification procedures.

ONLINE COURSE INFORMATION

This on-line course takes about 22 to 24 hours to complete.
It is designed for the participant to spend about two to three hours a day working on the course.
The course is available on-line for a period of two weeks.
An instructor will monitor and interact with the participants.
