Approach Lighting System with Flashers (ALSF)II (Godfrey)Course 40135

DESCRIPTION

This 15-day course provides training for technicians and engineers on the Godfrey ALSF-2 FA-9993. The course is 50% Academy lecture and 50% Academy laboratory. Lecture and laboratory subjects include constant current regulators, control and monitor cabinet, and ADB-ALNACO flashers with master timer “A” control cabinet.

OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion of the course, given an operable ALSF-II, the required tools and test equipment, participants will be able to:
  • Configure the equipment for normal operation in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and FAA Handbook 6850.5A
  • Use and interpret the control panel to determine proper operation of the system in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and FAA Handbook 6850.5A
  • Perform and document preventive maintenance to the module or board level in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and FAA Handbook 6850.5A
  • Analyze and repair problems associated with digital and analog circuits to the module or board level in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and FAA Handbook 6850.5A

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This course provides training for electronic technicians and engineers progressing into technical positions having responsibility for operating, maintaining, and certifying/verifying normal operation of the Godfrey ALSF-2.
