AIR TRAFFIC TRAINING

The Air Traffic Division of the FAA Academy trains air traffic controllers from
around the world in the basics of aerodrome, radar approach control and area control.
This division also conducts advanced courses for controllers, managers,
automation specialists, and other air traffic personnel. Air traffic control radar training courses use advanced automated radar simulation equipment. This equipment simulates air traffic operations, weather conditions, and other difficulties that might confront air traffic controllers. Radar courses are intended for air traffic personnel with air traffic control experience in either aerodrome or procedural control. Customized air traffic courses can also be designed to meet the individual needs of our customers. These courses include: site-specific airspace for radar training, joint terminal and en route radar training, and on-the-job training techniques for radar instructors. Additionally, special courses in CNS/ATM, facility management and instructional delivery are also available exclusively for international participants. |
