The Training Support Division of the Academy is the FAA’s primary source for professional
training skills and training technology. The division is staffed with instructional
systems specialists, engineers, program managers and support personnel. In
instructor training and evaluation courses, participants learn basic techniques for
classroom and lab instruction, which is essential for the development and maintenance
of a successful training program. The FAA Academy offers courses in instructor
training (classroom), on-the-job training techniques, curriculum development,
instructional testing, and instructor techniques for Interactive Video Teletraining
(IVT).
